3D Miniature Strategy Games

Come and play in a series of fun tabletop miniature and board games, with students taking the role of leaders, builders, and thinkers!  If you have never played a tabletop miniatures game, imagine a three dimensional table, complete with hand built terrain such as castle walls, forests, and fields. Players command groups of hand painted miniatures that are like small works of art. Then, players learn easy to play rulesets that take games like Risk, Diplomacy and Stratego to the next level. Games are set in many historical periods ranging from ancient Rome, the medieval world of castle sieges, the American War of Independence, all the way to the bi-plane dogfights of WWI and tanks in WWII.

In some cases, games can also be more futuristic such as a hilarious robot invasion or set in fantasy worlds resembling Dungeons and Dragons on a large scale. Students will play several different games over the course of the week. Players will work together to create strategies, using many of the same skills necessary in the classroom on the tabletop.

Finally, all students will learn how to play Crokinole, a fun skill based game that is a combination of pool and shuffleboard on a round tabletop game arena board. There will also be a singles and doubles tournament at the end of each week with prizes. Sign up to have some fun! You won’t be disappointed !!
